Film Direction

Film is where ideas come to life. Throughout my career, I've developed films spanning brand campaigns, product launches, athlete profiles, and documentary-style storytelling. Whether creating long-form content, social-first edits, or integrated campaign assets, the goal remains the same: tell authentic stories that connect people to brands in meaningful ways.

O’Neill Films

Over seven years as Creative Director at O'Neill, I led film projects spanning brand campaigns, athlete storytelling, product launches, and digital content franchises. From concept through production and post, each project was created as part of a larger content ecosystem, generating assets for social, retail, e-commerce, advertising, and brand storytelling.

First Name In The Water

Created to celebrate O'Neill's deep roots in surf culture, First Name In The Water transformed archival imagery into a living experience through large-scale coastal projections. The resulting film blended heritage, emotion, and storytelling, serving as the foundation for an integrated campaign across social, retail, e-commerce, and advertising.

Strike Missions

Strike Missions followed O'Neill athletes as they chased swell, explored remote coastlines, and immersed themselves in local cultures around the world. The series combined surf action, travel, and storytelling to showcase the adventurous spirit that has defined O'Neill since 1952.

O’Riginals Collection

Created as a modern expression of O'Neill's heritage, O'Riginals combined Super 8 cinematography, vintage-inspired art direction, and lifestyle storytelling. The seasonal lookbook films prioritized atmosphere and authenticity, helping define the visual identity of one of the brand's most premium collections.

Hyperfreak Boardshorts

Created to support the launch of O'Neill's flagship Hyperfreak boardshort collection, this integrated campaign combined athlete performance, product innovation, and lifestyle storytelling. The content was developed for film, social, retail, e-commerce, and digital advertising.

Tested & Approved

Created as an evergreen content platform, Tested & Approved transformed product education into engaging storytelling. By putting O'Neill gear in the hands of athletes and ambassadors, the series demonstrated performance through real-world testing while generating content for social, retail, e-commerce, and digital campaigns.

KREW Clothing & Supra Footwear

As Senior Global Art Director for KREW and Supra, I led creative across brand campaigns, product launches, and cultural storytelling initiatives that connected skateboarding, music, art, and streetwear. The work focused on building authentic cultural relevance while helping define the visual identity of two iconic brands.

KREW Rights Refused

Rights Refused was a seasonal collaboration series featuring artists, photographers, musicians, and creative outsiders. Each film was crafted to reflect the personality and perspective of its subject, creating an authentic platform for creative expression while reinforcing KREW's connection to independent culture.

Absolute Board Company

As Creative Director for Penny Skateboards and Z-Flex, I led storytelling across two distinctly different skateboard brands. From Penny's narrative-driven lifestyle content to Z-Flex's gritty heritage-inspired films, the work reflected the personality and communities behind each brand.

Penny Skateboards

Open Roads was a seasonal film series featuring ambassadors, artists, and collaborators from around the world. Blending travel, creativity, and narrative storytelling, the project helped evolve Penny's content beyond product marketing and create a deeper connection with the brand.

Z-Flex Skateboards

Inspired by the rebellious spirit that helped define Z-Flex in the 1970s, this Hi-8 film series embraced texture, grit, and personality over traditional narrative. The result was a collection of raw visual pieces that celebrated the attitude and creativity at the heart of the brand.
